Experienced Custom Cabinet Builder

Build high quality custom cabinetry and architectural millwork in our Arlington shop, then help scribe, fit, and install it in real homes. For a hands on builder who cares about fit, finish, and accuracy.

What you will do

  • Build custom cabinets and architectural millwork to tight tolerances
  • Read shop drawings, plans, measurements, and cut lists accurately
  • Fabricate boxes, face frames, doors, panels, fillers, and finished ends
  • Install hardware, hinges, and drawer slides, and dial in adjustments
  • Run shop machinery safely and help deliver and install in the field

Experience we want

  • Professional experience building custom cabinetry
  • Strong knowledge of plywood, hardwoods, veneers, and hardware
  • Comfortable on table saws, shapers, routers, jointers, and planers
  • Able to work from drawings without constant supervision
  • High end or fully custom experience preferred, install a plus

Not a fit for someone whose experience is limited to assembling stock cabinets or repetitive production work.

  • Slat walls, curved work, radius work, and unique wood features

What we need

  • Strong experience in high end residential remodeling
  • Precise layout, miters, returns, reveals, transitions, and scribing
  • Comfort working around walls and floors that are not perfectly square
  • Ability to troubleshoot field conditions without sacrificing quality
  • Professional communication and respect for occupied homes

Not intended for someone whose experience is primarily framing, handyman work, production trim, or basic cabinet installation.

What you will do

  • Lead and manage finish carpenters on active job sites
  • Coordinate schedules, materials, crew, and daily field operations
  • Own timelines, budgets, craftsmanship, and client satisfaction
  • Work with clients, designers, and general contractors on project goals
  • Run quality control and train and develop team members

What you bring

  • 10+ years of finish carpentry and millwork experience
  • 5+ years leading and managing a crew on active job sites
  • Deep knowledge of trim, cabinetry install, paneling, doors, and moldings
  • Excellent layout, measuring, fitting, and problem solving skills
  • Dependable, self motivated, and aligned with our core values
