Custom Carpentry, Cabinetry & Finish Work in Addison, TX

Innovations Carpentry serves Addison, TX with custom carpentry, cabinetry, finish and trim work, stairs, millwork, and door work for homes across the town. Addison packs a dense mix of townhomes, condos, and single-family homes into a small footprint, which means a lot of our work here is kitchen rebuilds in established condos, closet and pantry systems, office built-ins, and townhome stair upgrades.

Our shop sits south in Arlington, but Addison is inside our regular delivery and install loop. Because most projects are pre-built in the shop and delivered, we keep the elevator, parking, and delivery friction of dense buildings to a minimum and limit build time and dust in your home. The approach stays the same whether it is a high-rise condo or a townhome: quality materials, clean joints, and work that fits the space.

Our carpentry services in Addison, TX include:

  • Custom Carpentry — built-ins, closets, home-office walls, and pantry shelving built to the room.
  • Custom Cabinets — kitchen, bath, and storage cabinetry built and installed to fit the space.
  • Finish & Trim Carpentry — crown molding, baseboards, casing, wainscoting, and trim detail.
  • Stair Work — townhome stair and railing upgrades, tread and riser replacement, and curved geometry.
  • Millwork — custom moldings, accent paneling, coffered ceilings, fireplace surrounds, and mantels.
  • Doors & Windows — custom door fabrication and interior door and window trim.

History

Addison began as a farming settlement in the 1840s and stayed small for over a century. After World War II, residents grew concerned that nearby Dallas or Carrollton might annex the community, so they voted to incorporate as a town on June 15, 1953, keeping Addison an independent municipality rather than a Dallas neighborhood. Addison Airport, built for business aircraft in the mid-1950s, still occupies roughly an eighth of the town’s land.

In 1976, Addison voted to legalize alcohol sales to draw restaurants and hotels, and that decision shaped the town’s identity: today Addison holds more than two hundred restaurants, one of the highest densities per capita in the country. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Addison’s residential population was 16,661 in 2020, but its daytime population swells past 125,000 with the workers and visitors its businesses draw. The town covers just 4.4 square miles in Dallas County, immediately north of Dallas.

ZIP Codes

Addison, TX sits within a single ZIP code, 75001, which covers the entire town.

Because Addison is so compact, that one ZIP holds a remarkable density of housing types: walkable apartment and townhome blocks around Addison Circle, mid-rise condos, and the older single-family pockets in neighborhoods like Brookhaven and the Addison side of Prestonwood. The carpentry work here reflects that density. We do a steady stream of kitchen and bath cabinetry in established condos, custom closets and built-ins in townhomes, and stair and railing upgrades in the multi-level units that make up much of the town’s housing. Innovations Carpentry provides its full range of carpentry, cabinetry, finish, stair, and millwork services throughout the 75001 area.

Local Landmarks

Addison Circle and Addison Circle Park form the town’s walkable center, a dense district of apartments and townhomes built around a park that hosts the town’s outdoor events and concerts.

Vitruvian Park, on the town’s west side, is known for its trails, ponds, and seasonal holiday lights, a major draw for the surrounding residential.

Addison Airport, one of the busiest general-aviation airports in the country, anchors the town’s business-aviation identity and is home to the Cavanaugh Flight Museum.

The Addison Improv and the town’s long-running Kaboom Town! fireworks celebration round out an entertainment calendar that pulls visitors from across the metroplex.

Innovations Carpentry works with homeowners across the neighborhoods surrounding these Addison landmarks.

Nearby Major Streets, Parks, and Districts

The Dallas North Tollway runs the length of Addison’s west side and is the town’s defining corridor, lined with the office towers and hotels that drive its daytime economy and feeding the residential blocks just off it.

Belt Line Road is Addison’s famous Restaurant Row, the east-west street that carries the highest concentration of the town’s two hundred-plus restaurants and the foot traffic that comes with them.

Midway Road and Addison Road are the main north-south arteries through the residential core, connecting the Addison Circle district to the older neighborhoods.

Arapaho Road ties the town together east to west, linking the airport and business districts to the Tollway.

Addison Circle Park anchors the town’s central green space, set right inside its densest residential district rather than apart from it.

Why Work With Innovations Carpentry in Addison, TX

Addison homeowners are often working in dense condos and townhomes where access, fit, and finish all matter, and they expect work that holds up and looks intentional. We build to that standard, and our shop-first approach is well suited to buildings where on-site fabrication would mean noise, dust, and tied-up elevators. We are a workshop, not a sub-contractor pass-through or a big-box installer, and we run our projects like a workshop should: shop pre-fabrication, the same crew from quote to install, and a finish that fits the space.

Beyond Addison, we also serve nearby communities including Dallas, Richardson, and Preston Hollow. See our full service area for every city we cover.
