Custom Carpentry, Cabinetry & Finish Work in Carrollton, TX
Innovations Carpentry serves Carrollton, TX with custom carpentry, cabinetry, finish and trim work, stairs, millwork, and door work for homes across the city. Carrollton is a large, established, diverse city with a wide range of housing, from the older neighborhoods near Downtown Carrollton to the newer master-planned sections, so our work here runs the full range: kitchen and cabinetry rebuilds, custom closets and built-ins, trim and stair work in older homes, and full buildouts in newer ones.
Our shop sits south in Arlington, but Carrollton is inside our regular delivery and install loop. Most projects are pre-built in the shop and delivered, which keeps build time and dust in your home to a minimum. Whether the home is a mid-century house near the Square or a recent build on the north side, the approach stays the same: quality materials, clean joints, and work that fits the house.
Our carpentry services in Carrollton, TX include:
- Custom Carpentry — built-ins, closets, home-office walls, mudroom lockers, and pantry shelving built to the room.
- Custom Cabinets — kitchen, bath, and storage cabinetry built and installed to fit the space.
- Finish & Trim Carpentry — crown molding, baseboards, casing, wainscoting, and trim detail.

Carrollton Homes and the Carpentry They Call For
Carrollton is one of the metroplex’s larger, more varied suburbs, with housing that runs from the older character homes near the historic downtown square to decades of established subdivisions and newer construction on the Denton County side. We work across the whole range.
Established and older homes (near Downtown Carrollton, Josey Ranch, and the mid-century blocks). We update these homes without losing what makes them solid: rebuilt and refaced kitchen and bath cabinetry, added built-ins and custom closets, and refreshed trim, casing, and interior doors.
Subdivision and newer homes (Rosemeade, Country Place, Indian Creek, and the newer north-side developments). On Carrollton’s newer stock we handle the finish-out that turns a standard interior custom: built-in shelving and media walls, custom closets and pantry systems, mudroom lockers, and upgraded cabinetry and molding packages.
Whichever it is, the approach is the same: shop-built cabinetry and millwork delivered and installed clean, quality materials, and the same team from first measurement to final coat.
A Brief History of Carrollton, TX
Carrollton was first settled in the 1840s by families in the Peters Colony, and a mill established at nearby Trinity Mills anchored the early community. The town was most likely named for Carrollton, Illinois, the hometown of many of its early settlers. When the Cotton Belt railroad crossed through in 1888, Carrollton grew into a shipping center for grain, cotton, and livestock, and it was formally incorporated in 1913 with W. F. Vinson as its first mayor.
A gravel industry made Carrollton a “grain and gravel” town through the mid-twentieth century, and after World War II it grew rapidly as a Dallas suburb, expanding more than 190 percent in the 1970s alone. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Carrollton reached a population of 133,434 in 2020, making it one of the larger cities in Texas. It is unusual in spanning three counties, Dallas, Denton, and Collin, about fourteen miles north of downtown Dallas, and is home to one of the largest Korean communities in the state.

Why Work With Innovations Carpentry in Carrollton, TX
Carrollton homeowners range from owners of older homes near the Square who want careful trim and stair work to families in newer north-side construction finishing out custom interiors, and both expect work that holds up and looks intentional. We build to that standard. We are a workshop, not a sub-contractor pass-through or a big-box installer, and we run our projects like a workshop should: shop pre-fabrication, the same crew from quote to install, and a finish that fits the home.
